Aces vs Sky WNBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions – July 26, 2022

We only have one WNBA game today on July 26, 2022. I know, it’s sad, but it’s better than the zero games yesterday!

I’ll be going through my top WNBA betting picks for the Aces vs Sky game today. This game tips off at 8:30pm EST at the Winstrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

Betting markets are projecting that this will be a very close game. The Chicago Sky are currently slight moneyline favorites, as seen on the WNBA odds page. The Sky are best offered at -120 moneyline odds on a variety of sportsbooks, including PointsBet, Hard Rock and Betfred.

The Las Vegas Aces are best offered at +105 odds on both DraftKings & Caesars sportsbook. The Sky at -2 point spread favorites over the Aces at home, and the total (e.g. o/u) is set at 169.5.

Sports bettors should always be looking to get the best possible odds. This is called line shopping! No sports bettor wins every time, so finding value in the odds is critical if you want to make money long-term.

Moral of the story is get more sportsbook accounts! Most provide lucrative sign-up bonuses as well.

It’s not surprising that betting markets are projecting a close game. These are the two best teams in the league.

The Las Vegas Aces (20-8) currently lead the pack in the Western Conference, with the Seattle Storm two games behind. The Chicago Sky (21-7) are #1 in the Eastern Conference. The Connecticut Sun at only two games back in the East, however, after winning their last three games.

As seen in the odds on DraftKings sportsbook, online bookmakers are projecting both teams are roughly +200 to win the WNBA Championship. The Las Vegas Aces at +180 on DraftKings, and the Sky are +220.

Although DraftKings is offering the best odds on the Sky at +220 odds to win the WNBA Championship, they are not offering the best price on the Aces. The Aces are +200 odds (20 cents better than DraftKings) on bwin, a Canadian sportsbook.

The depending champions, the WNBA, look to get back to their winning ways tonight. They suffered at 83-80 loss against the Liberty in their last game on Saturday, July 23.

The Las Vegas Aces are coming into tonight’s matchup with a 2 game win streak. They demolished the Fever on Thursday and the Sparks on Saturday. They hope to keep rolling against Chicago today on July 26.

I do not have a moneyline bet in this game. I’d lean to bet the Las Vegas Aces at plus money, but I’m holding off at +105 odds. My prediction is that this will be a close game in Chicago, and I’m expecting a lot of lead changes.

Instead, I find value in the player prop odds for this WNBA matchup. A few online sportsbooks and DFS operators, including PrizePicks & bet365, offer player props for the WNBA. Hopefully more sportsbooks such as DraftKings & FanDuel start offering WNBA player props as well.

The first WNBA player prop bet for 7/26 that I really like is Kahleah Copper over 13.5 points. She has cashed her points over in the last two games, and I expect her to have an excellent matchup against the Aces. She’ll also be playing a lot of minutes if this is a close game.

I ended up betting Kahleah Copper over 13.5 points on PrizePicks. I think this is the best player prop pick for the Aces vs Sky game tonight on 7/26/22.

The value on PrizePicks is clear as well. As seen below, PrizePicks is setting the “Player Points” total for Kahleah Copper at over/under 13.5 points. Every sportsbook is setting her point total at over/under 16.5. This is a massive line discrepancy!

If Kahleah Copper scores 14, 15 or 16 points, then the over on any of the sportsbooks (such as Four Winds) would lose, but our WNBA pick on PrizePicks will win. From a mathematical perspective, Copper scoring 14-16 points is large part of the distribution. This is an incredible value bet as well!

My second WNBA player prop is in the “Player Assists” market. I think that Chelsea Gray will play a lot of minutes, and I really like the value in Gray over/under 5.5 assists. This bet is also on PrizePicks.

I was interested in the WNBA betting pick of Candace Parker over 13.5 points as well, but I’m holding off for now. Her point total is at 13.5 currently. The last few games, sportsbooks have had her “Player Points” total closer to 9.5 or 10.5.
