Thursday’s UEFA Europa League Predictions & Picks, Including Union Berlin vs. Royal Union & Shamrock vs. Djurgardens

The Magic of Europa is not for the faint of heart. There is no harder tournament in the world to cap over Europa league. It is a unique opportunity for clubs that may never have played each other in their history matchup in a country they have never been too. Let’s try and find some winners in this bunch.

Olympiakos vs. Nantes Pick: Match Total Under 2.5 | -115 at DraftKings

1:45 p.m. ET

Nothing screams Europa like a French vs Greek matchup. Olympiakos are out of the competition and have locked up last place no matter what happens in this match. Nantes still have a lot to play for and can jump up to 2^nd in the group with the win despite their 4:11 goal difference in this tournament.

The last four out of five Olympiakos unders have hit so they are in strong defensive form but this is also a matchup that means nothing to them. I do see Nantes (-105) coming away with a win but like the under much more in this one.    

Shamrock Rovers vs. Djurgardens Pick: Djurgardens -1.5 | +100 at Draftkings

This is a tricky matchup because no matter what the result in this match is, Djurgarden wins the group and shamrock finishes last. You have to base this off who’s subs are better and I can’t get behind any Irish teams.

The skill level is night and day and even if shamrock run some regular starters out there Djurgarden should still be able to handle the Irish leaders fairly easily given their recent form of wins in their last 5 of 6.

Union Berlin vs. Union Saint-Gilloise Pick: Match Total Under 2.5 | -120 at DraftKings

4 p.m. ET

Our favorite under kings return for a Europa league battle with a lot on the line. Union Berlin are in a difficult position because they sit in 2^nd place with 9 points and heavily favored Braga have 7 points. If Braga (-350 ML) get the win vs, Malmo they could jump Berlin on goal difference if Berlin draws and they both have 10 points.
