This is the true David vs. Goliath matchup. The defending World Cup champions are back to take on Cinderella Morocco. Can an African team finally lift the cup this year? Here are my two favorite bets for this matchup on Wednesday.

Much like Real Madrid in the Champions League, France feels like an overlooked defending champion with all the Messi magic happening.
France have been nothing but dominant in all these matchups except against Tunisia when they did not play their starters. France loves to pressure all matches and basically outworks everyone they play.
Mbappe is the best player in this matchup and maybe the world. The 23-year-old is currently behind Messi in the battle for the Golden Boot so I can see him and a star-studded France squad going all out for this one.
Morocco are the darling of this tournament and a true underdog story. They were not even picked to advance out of the group stage let alone get to this point. They have gotten here through the hard work of the backline with an amazing four clean sheets in five matches.
The most impressive was the match against Spain, where they fended off 13 shots and 80% possession by the Spanish and still won in a penalty shootout. They will have to continue to flex those defensive muscles to have any shot at winning this one.
I think France turns the pressure on from the kickoff. While the Morocco defense should be able to hold for a while, in the end, I think they fold. I can see an easy 3-0 France win here and the world gets the dream matchup of Argentina vs. France
