Looking for the best NFL bets to lock in before Sunday’s slate of games? OddsJam’s NFL betting experts have you covered with the best bets for Week 3 of the 2022 season.

Early Sunday Slate Best Bets

Lions vs. Vikings Pick: Over 53 | -110 at WynnBET

Sunday, Sept. 25 | 1 p.m. ET

The Lions offense might just be a wagon. They have now scored 71 points combined through two games so far, and the offense looks legit. These aren’t flukey defensive/special teams touchdowns, nor do they come on broken plays that are hard to replicate.

Their offensive line has been mauling people, and they have elite talent at the skill positions in DeAndre Swift and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Even Jared Goff has looked good!

The low score of 24-7 in the Vikings’ last game is misleading, too. The Eagles moved the ball up and down the field on that Vikings defense during Monday Night Football, scoring only 24 points because they took their foot off the gas being up by so much.

The Vikings offense also had a dropped touchdown, and Kirk Cousins threw 2 interceptions in the end-zone as well. Those are three should-be scoring drives where the Vikings got 0 points.

We should expect a lot of points in this one.

Late Sunday Slate Best Bets

Falcons vs. Seahawks Pick: Falcons +2.5 | +100 at PointsBet

Sunday, Sept. 25 | 4:25 p.m. ET

The wrong team is favored in this game, in my opinion. The guess here is that the oddsmakers are giving the Seahawks too much credit for their Week 1 victory against the Broncos. Yes, that was impressive, but it is unlikely they are going to be able to play with that same energy in any game for the rest of the season.

Also, the Broncos might not be as good as initially thought, as they once again looked horrible on offense against the Texans last week. This Seahawks team didn’t score a single point offensively last week against the 49ers, with their 7 points coming off a blocked field goal.

The Falcons aren’t exactly world-beaters, but in their two games, they have played two good teams — including the defending Super Bowl champ — and played both of them tough.

I like the Falcons to win straight up, but I’ll keep it safe and choose them to cover the spread instead.

Sunday Night Football Best Best Bets

49ers vs. Broncos Pick: 49ers Moneyline | Shop for the Best Line Below!

Sunday, Sept. 25 | 8:20 p.m. ET

Speaking of the Broncos, they somehow opened up as the favorite in this game when odds were first posted. Now, the market has corrected itself and the 49ers are favored.

It is still early in the season, but the Broncos offense has been an unmitigated disaster through two games. The coaching specifically has been disorganized, making life remarkably difficult for new quarterback Russell Wilson. Here is a stretch that highlights this perfectly.

The Broncos had a fourth-and-2 at the Texans’ 36-yard line, and the coaches opted to kick a field goal over going for it. But, they took too long in making that decision and ended up having a delay-of-game penalty that moved them back 5 yards. The Broncos then decided to punt after this penalty. Just awful.

On the 49ers side, the gruesome injury to Trey Lance is incredibly unfortunate for the player himself, but at least they still have Jimmy Garoppolo to take back the starting role. The 49ers should roll in this one.

Monday Night Football Best Best Bets

Cowboys vs. Giants Pick: Under 39.5 | -107 at PointsBet

Monday, Sept. 26 | 8:15 p.m. ET

Props to the Giants for starting 2-0 on the season, but that is about as unimpressive as a 2-0 start can get when you consider how they have actually looked, along with their opponents.

They have beaten two bad teams in the Titans and Panthers by a combined 4 points. Luckily for them, their easy schedule continues, taking on a Dallas team missing Dak Prescott. Props to Dallas for an impressive win against the Bengals last week, but they still figure to struggle without Prescott moving forward.

I landed on the total, because, well, these offenses stink! The Giants have only scored 40 points combined through two games, while the Cowboys are at an even less impressive 23 points through two games.

39.5 is a low total, but these offenses should struggle on Monday night.

Thursday Night Football Best Best Bets

Steelers vs. Browns Pick: Steelers +5.5 | -114 at BetRivers

Thursday, Sept. 22 | 8:15 p.m. ET

I’m glad the NFL went back to their roots and gave us this slop-fest on Thursday Night Football, after the awesome game of Chargers-Chiefs last week. With that said, backing the Steelers is the play here.

Mike Tomlin has an incredible history covering the spread as an underdog, and also specifically in divisional games.

Since 2010, as an underdog, the Steelers have covered the spread over 62.5% of the time. That is second-best in the entire NFL. In that same timeframe, the Steelers covered the spread 58.3% of the time in division games, which is the best in the NFL.

In a game in which scoring should be hard to come by, I’ll take the points with the Steelers here.
