Jalen Hurts completed the first octopus in Super Bowl history.
In the NFL, an octopus is when a player scores a touchdown and then scores the subsequent two-point conversion. It’s a low-probability play that was at +1400 odds to happen. Hurts did just that during the fourth quarter of Super Bowl 57.
Unfortunately for Philadelphia, it wasn’t enough to secure the game. The Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38-35 after a 27-yard game-winning field goal. Kansas City entered the game as 1.5-point underdogs.
