Warriors vs. Mavericks Game 4 Betting Preview

With the season on the line, the Dallas Mavericks went ice cold and allowed the Warriors to take a stranglehold on this series. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit and win. Luka Doncic would put up a valiant 40 points but the moment seemed a bit too big for a few on Dallas, while this felt all too familiar for the road team.

With a championship core one win away from another finals berth, it still is the role players taking the spotlight. Andrew Wiggins continued his incredible playoff run with 27 points 11 rebounds and 3 assists.

He pressured Doncic full court, made timely cuts to the rim, grabbed 6 offensive rebounds, and not to mention a monstrous slam that is in consideration for dunk of the year over Doncic. Wiggins transformation into a supporting star in his role has been vital for the Warriors in their run this post season.

Steph Curry continued his dominance over the Mavericks. Superstars know when to close the door on a team, and he slammed it shut. He is putting up 28 points with 8.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists on a blistering 48.3% on 3-point attempts this series. The Mavericks have thrown the kitchen sink at him and it hasn’t worked. The constant motion of how Curry operates has taken its toll.

Dallas Mavericks

Donic has scored 42 and 40 in consecutive playoff games with each resulting in a loss. He got to the line 17 times and pulled down 11 boards, but only dished out 3 assists. The Warriors continue to be physical all game with Wiggins getting the main assignment, and sending a flurry of traps, blitzes, and zones to keep him guessing. He found shooters all over the floor that just were not able to convert.

Lot of places to clean up for Dallas but the main one is the shot-making. The Mavericks went 6-25 from 3 in the first half, eventually finishing 13-45. They found the absolute worst moment to go cold. Reggie Bullock and Maxi Kleber would combine to go 0-15 from the field, leading to some passiveness on open looks as the game continued. The Mavericks desperately need a hot shooting night from a few of their role guys to keep this series alive.

In addition to cold shooting, the Mavericks have been dominated inside the paint and on offensive rebounds all series. The Warriors pulled down 14 more offensive rebounds in Game 3 with an advantage of 18-4 second-chance points. With all the switching and chaos the Warriors cause on screens and actions, they make it tougher than a traditional team to rebound against. Wiggins and Kevon Looney had 10 offensive rebounds together in Game 3, something Dallas needs to clean up in Game 4.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors look to go to their 6th NBA Finals in 8 years under Steve Kerr. The championship core in Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green have displayed their edge in experience all series. They know the system and each other to the extent any core could, and it shows in the cohesion they play with on the floor.

Closeout games are the toughest to win, with the other team in full desperation mode. Doncic is sure to come out ultra-aggressive again and Dallas could not shoot any worse. How the Warriors handle the early surge will determine if they need to play another game to close this series out.

Warriors before the playoffs were seen as a small ball team, but their ability to shapeshift to play big as well has paid huge dividends in the playoffs. Looney has been massive to dominate the paint this series on both ends, and will need to continue that type of play if the Warriors want to close out this series tonight in Dallas.

Mavericks vs. Warriors Game 4 Betting Pick: Mavericks Moneyline | -115 at Caesars Sportsbook

With Dallas shooting so poor in Game 3, I believe there is some positive regression coming. Doncic has found a groove scoring and should be able to avoid being swept. I have Dallas taking Game 4 at -115 at Caeasrs.

Mavericks vs. Warriors Game 4 Prediction

The Mavericks will take Game 4 and get their first win of the series 112-106
