NBA Western Conference Finals Best Bets Tonight – Warriors vs. Mavericks Game 4 – May 24, 2022

Warriors vs Mavericks Game 4 Preview

The Warriors took care of business in game 3, taking a commanding 3-0 series lead. This game was the closest in the series, although it certainly didn’t feel that way. The Mavericks kept it somewhat close in the second half, but could never get that surge to pull within striking distance with a chance to win at the end.

Thanks to clutch shooting and a ferocious dunk by Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors now have a sweep opportunity on the road. Let me be the first to mention; no team has ever won a series down 3-0. With the Mavs season all but over, they’ll mostly be playing for pride in game 4. No one wants to get swapped on their homecourt. So, Jason Kidd and Luka must find a way to cool off the Warriors offense or it will be a Dubs party in big D.

Warriors vs Mavericks Game 4 Betting Picks

Mavericks Team Total Under 107.5 | +100 at BetMGM

Down 3-0 to the 3 time champion Warriors is a tough spot to find yourself in. The Mavericks look completely demoralized after game 3’s loss. The theme of this series has been a lack of contribution from Dallas’ key role players. Dallas is wasting tremendous efforts from Luka and Jalen Brunson by failing to get other players hot.

While Doncic and Brunson combined for 60 points, the rest of the starters combined for just 12. In a potential sweep situation, I’d worry if those faults were magnified. The Dallas crowd will be less energized. And based on the game 3 performance, the Mavs players look equally disinterested.

Mavericks 1st Half -0.5 Point Spread | -105 at DraftKings

The one bright spot for the Mavericks this series has been their hot starts the past few games. At times in the first half, they’ve looked on par with the Warriors and looked to have them figured out on offense. However, something flips in the 2nd half and the Warriors tend to go on a run the Mavs can’t recover from.

For all their strengths, the Warriors have been known to have let down spots in games that are hard to get up for. While it’s clear their talent could easily win out in the game, I’m looking for them to have a bit of a slow start in the 1st half tonight. As we saw in games 2 and 3, it could take a while for the splash brothers to heat up. So, I love the value we get on the Mavericks to cover in the 1st half.

Andrew Wiggins Under 24.5  Points, Rebounds, Assists | -106 at BetRivers

Andrew Wiggins has certainly established himself as one of the best role players in the NBA. His energy and perimeter defense have been a huge reason for the Warriors success. The one knock on him in his career has been consistency. Even in these playoffs, we’ve seen big let downs where he disappears for a whole game.

I see this as one of those let down spots, coming off the high of a big game 3 performance. There’s no doubt that his dunk on Luka energized the Dubs in the 4th quarter. But, a potential low energy game 4 is not the spot Wiggins typically thrives in. With his big game 3, his props look to be a bit inflated, so this play has great value.
