Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Chicago Bulls Pick: Under 225.5 | -110 at Caesars

We’re going to Caesars tonight because they are sleeping at the wheel. Most books on this planet have this thing at 224.5. Not only that, but the price is basically in the range of -110.

We’re getting a point for free here and that’s if this thing doesn’t move. If I had to guess, I’d say we could see this number drop another point or so. If and when that happens, we’ll look like a bunch of geniuses out here. CLV champions.

Obviously, no one is trying to bet an under on a Friday night but we have to do what we have to do sometimes. One thing I recommend is watching the college games while this is on and then tuning in for the last two minutes or so once you know we’re going to win.

If it’s already toast, then just don’t come back to it and find another banger to get your cash back. There really is no reason to watch an under play out. Especially on a Friday night. Who wants to cheer on people to not score? We’re gamblers. Not sociopaths.

Here’s the thing about this one. The price drew me to it but the basketball reasoning behind it made me bet the thing. For starters, neither team is very efficient on offense.

Both are in the bottom third in the NBA in offensive efficiency this season. They both have been better recently but I think that has more to do with the opponent than anything else. Especially Chicago. Look who they’ve played in the last three games (Sacramento, Houston, Denver). Not exactly teams that can stop anyone from scoring.

On the flip side, these two teams are number two and three in the NBA in terms of defensive efficiency over the last three games. They’ve played some good offenses too (Boston, Denver, Sacramento, Atlanta).

My hope is they play Chicago’s pace which isn’t quite snail-like but it damn sure isn’t fast. We’re looking at roughly 102 possessions per game. If that happens, this could easily end up being a 110-105 type game that would come nowhere close to going over. Feels right.
