Magic vs. Suns Pick: Chris Paul Double-Double | +135 at DraftKings

We’re going to DraftKings for this thing tonight because they have the best price for this bet. If you have to play at one of the Kambi books, they have this priced at +130 so that’s not too bad.

The only book I’d say to avoid here is FanDuel since they’re hanging +120, which isn’t really worth it. We’re talking about a double-double here people. This thing needs to be priced right or we can’t bet it. I don’t make the rules.

I’m a big point guard double-double guy and Chris Paul is the gold standard at the moment. He’s just good. I wish he would score a little more but he’s been in double digits in scoring in each of his last six games so we can’t really complain.

He failed to get to 10 assists in three of those games but he’s been close every time so there is that to consider. What’s most important is Paul has averaged 17+ potential assists during this six game stretch. That’s enough to warrant a double-double play especially in the right matchup.

Tonight’s matchup is about as right as right can get as the Orlando Magic are in town. For starters, they are playing at the third fastest pace in the NBA over the last three games. More possessions, more chances for assists (science).

On top of that, only three teams in the entire NBA have been worse on defense from an efficiency standpoint than Orlando. Even better, 61+% of their opponents’ field goals have come assisted during this three-game run. I wouldn’t be surprised if Paul cashed this in the first half. Feels right.
