The small forward position is where some of the greatest players to ever lace ‘em up have played, and that trend continues today. Led by Kevin Durant and LeBron James, the small forward will always be a focal point for every team and will usually hoist some of the greatest players to ever play.

Three of the top 10 highest-paid players in the league are at the small forward. Last offseason, Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler and Kawhi Leonard all signed contracts that landed in the top 10 largest contracts of the summer. Seven small forwards will make more than $30 million this season, and 10 will make more than $20 million.
