Alexander Volkanovski vs Max Holloway Pick: Volkanovski to Win | -190 at DraftKings

Featherweight | Co-main | 10 p.m. ET

In the third and likely final matchup between Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski, we’ll see if Holloway can finally take the Australian down. But it doesn’t seem likely. Although the odds are heavily skewed toward a Volkanovski win, there is still good betting value here.

Holloway loves to control the pace, it has given him an edge in almost every fight he’s been in. Volkanovski just won’t allow that to happen.

The Great moves efficiently and purposefully, using every leg kick to strategically position himself in the best way possible. Unless Holloway can fundamentally change his style, it’s hard to believe this matchup won’t go the same way as the first two, with Volkanovski victorious.

Israel Adesanya vs Jared Cannonier Pick: Adesanya by Decision | +120 at DraftKings

Middleweight | Main Event | 10 p.m. ET

In the title fight, you won’t find much value on the favorite. Adesanya is rightfully favored by a strong margin, with the odds hovering around -400. Unless you’re high on Cannonier, which I’m not, we have to find some value on the method of victory.

To me, the value in the fight going the distance is squarely on an Adesanya win. If Cannonier can’t manage a knockout, he has almost no chance in the match. The Stylebender is too well-conditioned and is used to a five-round bout. He gets better and better as the fight goes on and dominates the late rounds.

While he has knockout power, Adesanya hasn’t won by KO since 2020 in his win over Paulo Costa at UFC 253. Likewise, Cannonier hasn’t LOST a fight by knockout since UFC 230 all the way back in 2018.

He’s got a strong jaw and isn’t likely to go down without an extremely clean hit. Adesanya just doesn’t seem likely to aim for that, so take the champ by decision for the value.
