Obviously we’re back to attacking pitchers since we’ve got two guys from the same lineup. It worked the other night with the Rays and honestly, I think it’s the way. Tonight, we’ll go after Joe Ryan who has been giving up dingers like it’s his job. We’re talking 13 in the last 28 innings of work. I can’t put into words how bad that is. It’s awful. We’re talking 2+ in four of his last six games and at least one in all of those six outings. He’s the perfect mark for tonight.

We’re definitely going to want to with a right-handed batter since 16 of the 21 dingers Ryan has given up have been to righties. Ryan likes to throw a four-seamer and that pitch has a 74% hard hit rate against right-handers. Again, that is awful. Both Arenado and Goldschmidt do good work against four-seamers so they feel like the perfect guys to target. Goldschmidt just hit one 417 feet and another one 444 feet last week. Fourteen of Arenado’s 21 dingers on the season have been four-seamers. This all feels too right. We may be looking at the greatest night of our lives.
