Twins vs. Padres Betting Odds, Expert Picks & Sharp Bets – July 30, 2022

The Padres take on the Twins on Saturday, July 30 at PETCO Park. The game begins at 7:15pm ET. I’ll be go through my best bets, picks & predictions in this baseball betting preview.

Joe Musgrove (8-3, 2.63 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Padres, and Sonny Gray (5-3, 3.52 ERA) is set to take the mound for the Twins. The total runs over/under is currently set at 7.5, with betting lines juiced towards the under.

Joe Musgrove is coming off a poor pitching performance against the New York Mets. On July 24, Musgrove game up 4 earned runs in 5.1 innings. He recorded four strikeouts and two walks in this outing.

Sonny Gray is coming off a strong performance against the Detroit Tigers on July 24. He allowed just two hits and one earned run in six innings. He also struck out seven in this game against Detroit. Granted, the Detroit Tigers average the lowest amount of runs per game in the entire MLB.

I do think that Gray will have a strong outing in San Diego. I also found a great spot to bet on the Twins moneyline thanks to the OddsJam Positive EV Sports Betting Software. I locked in the Twins moneyline at +125 odds for 1 unit. A picture of my betslip is below.

I also took the Twins on the run line. This bet of mine is on Caesars sportsbook. I think the value in Twins -1 run line at +185 odds is insane. This is another Positive EV betting pick. If the Twins win by 2+ runs, then my bet will cash. If the Twins win by exactly 1 run, then my bet will “push” and I’ll get my money back. Pushes are explained in this sports betting tutorial video.

Of course, if the Twins lose, then my moneyline and run line bets will both lose. So I essentially have 2 units on the Twins, and I’m hoping that they win by at least two runs.
