Reds vs. Mets Player Prop Bets Today – August 8, 2022: Bassitt Will Deliver the Over

Chris Bassitt loves to strike people out at home. He’s gone over 5.5 K’s in 8 of his 10 home starts this season. In his last 5 home starts he’s averaging 7.4 K’s. Not to mention the fact he’s pitched at least 6 innings in his last 8 straight starts and in 10 of his past 11 starts this season! More innings equals more opportunities for strikeouts. 

Speaking of strikeouts, the Reds just happen to be obsessed with them. The Reds have the 4th WORST K rate in the league. Oh top of that they have the 6th WORST K’s/Game in baseball and over their last 3 games they are averaging 10.3 K’s. They had a mind blowing 15 K’s in their game yesterday. We are definitely picking up on a trend here. 

So here we a have a pitcher that loves to strikeout batters at home, against a team on a recent upward K trend. This particular matchup right here checks all those JP K prop boxes that I look for. Looks like it’s time to exploit a mismatch. The JP K prop sense is definitely tingling!
