Our MLB expert breaks down his top play and prediction for today’s slate of games below! Find out the picks @KeepTheJuice21 is eyeing tonight.

Rays vs. Tigers Betting Preview:

6:10 p.m. ET

This line could be -300 and I would be interested. Shane McClanahan is starting for the Rays in Detroit tonight and couldn’t look any better.

He’s leading the Cy Young race for a reason. With a 2.07 ERA and 158 strikeouts, McClanahan has been unhittable. Prior to his performance on Sunday, he hadn’t given up more than two runs in a start since April.

He leads the league in WHIP at 0.83 and most importantly, he owns the Tigers. Forgetting previous years in which he’s been elite, in his start against Detroit earlier this year, McClanahan went through 21 batters with only 4 hits and 1 run.

Detroit has been in a sad state, both lately and on the season. They’ve lost six of the last seven games and now come up against the best pitcher in the league.

The hitting has been inconsistent, averaging three runs over their last 10 games. They simply don’t have what it takes to keep up with one of the top teams in the MLB.

Rays vs. Tigers Pick: Rays -1.5 | -130 at DraftKings

Reds vs. Brewers Betting Preview:

7:15 p.m. ET

The Reds visit Milwaukee for the second of a three game series tonight and neither is starting their top option. Nick Lodolo, the rookie lefty is starting for the Reds.

He’s been average, but the Reds have actually managed to provide him some great run support, resulting in a 3-3 record and a winning effort in five of his eight starts.

The Brewers hit very well against lefties and Lodolo plays notably worse away from home. He only has two starts on the road so the stats are skewed, but in those two he’s given up 8 earned runs over 7 innings.

The Reds have had trouble with hitting recently but this is a good spot to get out of it. Aaron Ashby has a short leash, and if the Brewers see him getting hit it will become a bullpen game.

You’ll know how the over looks shortly into this game, so keep an eye out for a live hedge.

Reds vs. Brewers Pick: Over 8 | -105 at DraftKings
