Another day, another dollar. We have a beautiful MLB slate today with a lot of great plays to choose from.
We get an early afternoon pitching duel between Martin Perez (1.56 ERA) & Lucas Giolito (3.54 ERA). Both have been extremely good at preventing early runs this season.

Perez has only allowed a run in the first inning in one start this season, giving him a NRFI Success rate of 91%. Giolito shares a similar story, only allowing a first inning run in one start as well. (89% Success). Oddly, both pitchers gave up a run to the Angels as their only losses. When I look deeper into recent trends, both teams have had a serious lack of production in the first inning. Texas has only scored in the first inning once in their last 11 games. Chicago has only scored in the first inning once in their last 8 games.
The Rangers rank 20th in runs scored on the road this season, while Chicago ranks 21st in runs scored at home this season. This matchup is almost symmetrical. With the lowest Vegas implied total on the entire slate (O/U 7.5 Runs), this play feels like the strongest. Let’s cash another ticket.
