Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Tampa Bay Rays
1:40 p.m. ET
This is a play that caught my attention. The Pirates have the 2nd least hits and 3rd least batting average on the road this season. Overall they rank 28th in hits per game (7.2) and 28th in batting average. (.220) Rays Ace Shane Mclanahan has been making a name for himself and shaping to be the AL CY Young Award winner this season.

He has a 1.71 ERA and 0.84 WHIP on the season. He has allowed less than 5 hits in three straight starts and has done this in every start except for three during the season.
Tampa Bay has out-hit opponents in three of the last four games with two of those against the New York Yankees, one of the best teams in baseball. Pirates pitcher Roansy Contreras is pretty good but is prone to contact. He has allowed 18 hits over his last 14 innings pitched and only has five strikeouts over his last 9.1 innings pitched.
With Mclanahan likely pitching 60-70% of this game, I feel very good about the Rays bats cashing this ticket for us as the Pirates should be limited to around 4-5 hits in the first 7 innings alone. Enjoy your Sunday and let’s make some money!
