Padres vs. Cubs Betting Preview

Happy Hump Day to you all! We will head to Wrigley Field tonight and bet on the matchup between the San Diego Padres and the Chicago Cubs.

The Cubs have struggled this year and are 23-38 on the season. They were up on the Padres 5-0 last night before they choked and lost 12-5.

Their bullpen has been horrible this year. Tonight they will send out their new prospect pitcher, Caleb Kilian. In his MLB debut, Kilian gave up 3 hits and 3 runs against the Cardinals. 

The Padres have been great this year, sitting at 39-24. They will pitch Ryan Weathers, who is making his debut this year. Last year, Weathers had a 5.32 ERA and was not good in his rookie season.

Weathers and the Padres hope that he can have a better second year.

The Padres are a much better team than the Cubs, but the Cubs are a solid favorite in this one. This screams that the Padres are a trap and will be a very public dog tonight.

I will not mess with the bullpens and will back the Cubs for the first five innings. I expect Kilian to have a solid game and Weathers to struggle early.
