The Mets should be at a significant advantage in the second leg of their double header tonight. Taijuan Walker is having a really nice start to the season, and although the sample size is small, the advanced metrics are very good. Steven Matz on the other hand has struggled to get his footing this season. And one of his worst starts was facing the Mets in his own ballpark a few weeks ago. 

The Mets also have the advantage of playing in a doubleheader at home. The home team is significantly statistically favored in the second game of a doubleheader, compared with a standard game.

The Giants lineup should be salivating right now. Coors Field is the best hitters park in the league and the Giants have more than their share of power hitters. They’ll face Chad Kuhl who’s having the best start to a season of his career, but I’m not totally sold.

He’s faced a pretty easy schedule so far, with 3 of his last 4 against the Diamondbacks, Reds and Tigers. His 4^th and most recent start came against these Giants when he gave up 5 runs over 4 2/3 innings. 

If there were major changes in his pitches I might buy the new Kuhl but it seems more likely that he’s due for a regression. Which means betting value. The game total is a ridiculous 11 runs which would imply another 5.5 runs from the Rockies which is harder to buy into. So stick with the team total in this one.
