Max Scherzer is back and he has picked up right where he left off. After a just over six week stint on the injured list, Mad Max made his triumphant return against the Reds and promptly struck out 11 batters like it was no big deal. The man is a machine sent from the future, I’m convinced of it!

Now he gets the perfect piece of gift wrapped K prop goodness against the swing and miss mavens known as the Atlanta Braves. To say the Braves strike out a LOT is the understatement of the century. They love to strike out and they are practically addicted to striking out. It’s quite the sight to behold. Over the last 30 days no other team in baseball has struck out more then Atlanta. 

To add insult to injury they really REALLY love to strike out at home in front of their fans just to really rub salt in the wound. The Braves lead the league in home strikeouts (491) and it’s not even close. They have 63 more strikeouts at home then the next closest team. It’s a wide insurmountable margin that they plan on holding onto for better or worse. 

So here we have Mad Max strolling into town against the highest strikeout team in the league, and your boy JP is as giddy as a school girl. To really drive home my point, Scherzer has great career numbers against the Braves. He is extremely familiar facing them with 28 starts under his belt. I expect him to pitch deep enough into this game to far surpass over 7.5 strikeouts. 

So that’s the K prop pick right there people. Mr. Max Scherzer to annihilate the Braves via strikeout. It’s gonna get ugly…or actually pretty if you have money on Mad Max. I know I will!  At +115 odds it’s just an incredible value play. Let’s cash this bad boy together!
