There’s only one pitcher on this planet that I would 100% trust with going over a 9.5 K prop line. That man is the one and only Jacob deGrom. He is the best pitcher in the universe, and it’s not even close. Since he’s come back from his lengthy injury absence, it’s just been a complete and total domination. Picking up right where he left off. 

I know deGrom must be drooling all over himself with anticipation for this matchup against the swing-and-miss mavens known as the Atlanta Braves. He’s faced the Braves already this season and he had 12 Ks in that start! In his start last season against the Braves, he had an astounding 14 Ks! He owns them, plain and simple. 

The Braves are absolutely determined to surpass every strikeout record known to man. The Braves lead the whole league with 1131 strikeouts. The Braves also have the MOST strikeouts at home in all of baseball. They have more than 50 strikeouts at home than the second-ranked team. It’s not even close. They are blowing everyone away — and not in a good way. 

Should I keep on going? Ok, you definitely know I will!

The Braves have the MOST strikeouts in the league in night games. They have the third-WORST K rate in the league overall. The Braves also have the third-WORST Ks/Game average overall in baseball. Plus to add some recent data, the Braves have the third-MOST Ks in the last seven days. Is anyone else noticing a trend here? 

So here we have on one side Mr. deGrom, the best pitcher of his generation. An absolute K machine stud of a pitcher on a mission. On the other side is a Braves team that has been extremely strikeout-prone pretty much all season, and that’s putting it nicely. 

This particular matchup right here checks all those JP K prop boxes that I’m always on the lookout for. You know It’s about that time to exploit an enormous mismatch. My JP K prop sense is on high tingle alert!

Soooooo … with ALL that being said, you know exactly what we NEED to do! We are going to HAMMER Jacob deGrom over 9.5 strikeouts against the K-crazy Braves. At plus-money, this is just an absolutely insane value play.
