It’s Dinger Tuesday and I don’t think there is a person on this planet more excited about it than me. I’m kidding, everyone loves Dinger Tuesday so everybody is fired up.

I’m just saying I’ve been waiting for this day since last Tuesday. Nothing has changed in the way I think we should play this thing. I’m taking a guy to go deep in a game where I think we’ll see a ton of dingers (the Dinger Tuesday promo says we get $5 for every dinger hit in this game up to $25). They call that common sense on the streets. The game at the top of my list is the Miami Marlins vs Cincinnati Reds.

Obviously there are a ton of options in this game because we think there will be a ton of dingers. The one that sticks out the most was Spencer Steer at +450. That’s huge, but the reason I think he goes deep tonight is because he’s facing Braxton Garrett. I get that Garrett has only given up 15 dingers in 111 innings of work this season but 12 of those bombs have been to righties. That’s a great place to start.

Garrett likes to attack right-handed hitters with five different pitches and every one of those pitches has a 40+% hard hit rate. That’s bad. It’s a miracle that he hasn’t given up more than 15 dingers this season.

What’s great is, our boy Steer hits the slider, changeup and curve like it talked bad about his mom. We’re talking hard here people. And even if he doesn’t get one over the fence, we’ve got Matt McClain, Jake Burger, Bryan De La Cruz, Jesus Sanchez and Jorge Soler in this game. We could easily see five dingers which would give us $25 in bonus bets from FanDuel. That would make this a free shot at glory. We have to do this. Feels right.
