In my first article, we smashed and cashed the Shohei Ohtani K prop pick with absolute ease. This time around we are going to go ahead and pick on the Miami Marlins once again.

The Marlins strike out a LOT! They’ve been swinging and missing at basically everything all season. Chris Bassitt knows this fact very well and he likes to take advantage of their K deficiency. 

Bassitt has gone over 5.5 Ks in seven of his eight home starts this season and the last time he faced the Marlins at home this season he had 9 Ks. So guess what?! Bassitt is facing the Marlins at home again tonight!

Now we have a great reason to celebrate this fortunate scheduling karma that tilts in our favor. The Marlins, who already strike out a ton as it is, strike out even more on the road ? to the tune of a 24.3% K rate, which is fifth-WORST in the league. 

Like I mentioned earlier, Bassitt is all about striking out batters when he’s in his home stadium. The Marlins become even more free-swinging when they are on the road. You know how much I love taking advantage of mismatches and this one has mismatch written all over it.

So with ALL that being said, I’m locking in Chris Bassitt over 5.5 strikeouts tonight against the Marlins, and at +104 odds it’s an absolutely tremendous value!
