Adorable Sportsmanship in the LLWS After Batter Gets Hit, MLB Players Take Note

Little League World Series

The Little League World Series had a touching moment on Tuesday in the Southwest Region championship.

In the little league battle between Texas East and Oklahoma, there was a terrifying moment in the bottom of the first inning. Texas East held a 3-2 lead, and, on an 0-2 pitch, their starter Kaiden Shelton drilled Oklahoma’s batter in the head.

Isaiah Jarvis, Oklahoma’s hitter, immediately fell to the ground after being hit. He returned to his feet a few moments later and began to jog to first base.

Kaiden Shelton, still on the mound, was visibly shocked, shaken and sad. He began to sob, clearly shaken up by the scary moment. Jarvis noticed this and jogged to the mound, giving Shelton a hug and letting him know that he’d be fine. Jarvis’s helmet took most of the blow from the pitch.

To say the least, this was a very touching moment in the LLWS. Many fans were in tears seeing the young boys hug on the mound. It was an act of care and sportsmanship.

MLB players could take some notes from “Little Leaguers”… This is what baseball is all about!
