Another week is in the books and more validation of how hard it can be to win on this tour. Sam Ryder, the leader for nearly the entire tournament faltered on Sunday leaving the door open for Max Homa, SoCal native, to take home the hardware. This is Homa’s second win this season and sixth of his career.
This week the Tour is still in the west coast swing and staying in the Sunshine State, the fourth of seven stops in California for AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The best bets and resources to make you more profitable
AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has been played since 1937 and is the last of the two pro-ams played this season. Similarly to the first pro-am, the tournament will be played at three different courses — Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula Country Club.
Each pro is paired with an amateur and plays all three courses, with a cut down to the Top 60 pros players and ties after 54 holes and finishes at the Pebble Beach. In addition, the Top-25 pro-am teams will continue on for the final round of the competition.
The weather could definitely play a factor this week, as it is forecasting rain on Friday and Sunday with highs in the mid to low 50s.
AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is held at three different courses – Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula Country Club, but only Pebble Beach will be played twice. Pebble Beach was designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant in 1919.
The course runs along the Pacific coast and features tons of water. There are a total of 117 bunkers and the greens are the smallest on tour, so the course will require the best out of the players this week to advance.
Below are the three courses yardages and par:
Pebble Beach: 6,972 yards, Par 72
Spyglass Hill: 7,041 yards, Par 72
Monterey Peninsula Country Club (Shore): 6,957 yards, Par 71

Matt Fitzpatrick has played in three PGA Tournaments this year and has finished no worse than T13. He finished sixth last year at this tournament and T12 when the US Open was played at Pebble Beach in 2019. He is in the top 20 Strokes Gained: off the tee, putting and total this season and has the ability to put it all together this week and win.

Viktor Hovland is the second highest Official World Golf Ranked player in the field this week. He has the ability to win here if he can get the putter going early and consistently.

Seamus Power has been playing very well as of late, finishing no worse than T5 in three of the last four PGA Tournaments he’s played in. He finished ninth last year at this tournament. His ability around the green and with his putter should make him a lock for a top 10 finish this week.
